Numerous local sales and use tax rate changes are going to take effect in Kansas on April 1, 2018.

City rate changes

Each city below is listed with its new total sales tax rate.

  • Alden, 8.5%
  • Baxter Springs, 10%
  • Danville, 7.5%
  • Herington (Dickinson County), 10.5%
  • Herington (Morris County), 10%
  •  Palco, 8%
  • Tipton, 8%
  • Whitewater, 7.25%

County rate changes

Each county is listed with cities in the county impacted by the rate change.

  • Cowley County, 6.5

                    - Arkansas City, 9%

                    - Arkansas City Summit Plaza community improvement district (CID), 10%

                    - Atlanta, 6.5%

                    - Burden, 7.5%

                    - Cambridge, 6.5%

                    - Dexter, 6.5%

                    - Geuda Springs (Cowley County area, only), 6.5%

                    - Parkerfield, 6.5%

                    - Udall, 7.5%

                    - Winfield, 7.9%

  • Finney County. 7.95%

                    - Garden City, 8.95%

                    - Garden City Stone Dev (CID), 9.95%

                    - Holcomb, 8.45%

Special district rate changes

District to be terminated as of April 1, 2018

  • Leawood Shops of 119th St transportation development district (TDD), 9.1%
