Avalara is coming to Dallas for a fun A-List event on March 20, 2018. A-List events deliver user-inspired content, training, and networking opportunities for customers across the country. Attendees can earn one CPE credit for the keynote presentation, and additional breakout sessions provide an opportunity to focus on specific solutions. Following the meeting, attendees will enjoy a cocktail reception featuring mixologists, magicians, and panoramic views from the top of Reunion Tower.

Featured Keynote:

David Davis, Senior Manager, Tax, KPMG

David is a Tax Senior Manager in KPMG’s Dallas U.S. Indirect Tax practice. He has more than 20 years of experience in multi-state tax consulting and compliance. David is responsible for U.S. Indirect Tax issues for clients in technology, retail, manufacturing, construction, aviation, and energy. He has managed numerous large multistate tax projects related to restructurings, nexus studies, sales and use tax audit assistance, and refund projects.

Andrea Anderson, Senior Vice President, Customer Loyalty, Avalara

Andrea joined Avalara in 2007 and leads the Customer Loyalty organization driving customer growth, satisfaction, and retention. Before joining Avalara, she served in a variety of marketing roles within the Business Solutions division of Microsoft, and as Chief Knowledge Officer at Vtrenz.

John Beaty, Vice President and General Manager, Excise, Avalara

John is a senior executive with more than 22 years of experience in process technology consulting within the petroleum industry. He currently serves as the General Manager for Excise at Avalara. Prior to joining Avalara, John served as the President of the Americas and subsequently the CEO for Amphora Inc.

Matthew MacNeil, Founder, CertCapture, Avalara

Matthew is the founder of CertCapture, a solution designed to address the specific challenges of managing exemption certificates. This solution was acquired by Avalara in 2013. Before joining Avalara, he was involved in tax consulting for more than 15 years. Matthew is a regular speaker at various credit and accounting conferences.

Aaron Wilson, Senior Product Manager, AvaTax, Avalara

Aaron plays a key role on Avalara’s AvaTax product team. Prior to joining Avalara, he was the Indirect Tax Manager at Groupon and a happy Avalara customer. Aaron obtained his CPA and spent five years in state and local tax consulting for several large accounting and consulting firms, including RSM. While primarily focused on sales and use tax, he has experience in nearly all aspects of indirect tax, including gross receipts, excise, VAT, property tax, local transaction, leasing, hotel occupancy, and business licenses.

Avalara is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
